Did you know?

75% of Haitians live on less than $2.50 per day. This makes it incredibly difficult for the average Haitian to afford quality health care.

Less than half of Haitians in rural areas have reliable access to water, and many water sources are contaminated with cholera or other bacteria.

The maternal mortality rate in Haiti is 1.25%. That means a woman giving birth has a 1 in 80 chance of dying during pregnancy or child birth. In the U.S., the maternal mortality rate is 0.026%.
