Mortality rate in children under 1 year old and under 5 years old have significantly decreased. From 1990 to 2021, death in children less than 1 year has decreased from 97.3 per 1,000 births to 51.6 per 1,000. During that same timeframe, death in children under 5 years old has decreased from 150.7 per 1,000 births to 70.6 per 1,000 birth.
